Final Instructions for Mt Seaview
Sep 03, 2010 - 5:56 PM - by Protty223
FINAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR HVMCC Mt SEAVIEW PONY EXPRESS, 11/12th September 2010

The long awaited, greatly anticipated Mt Seaview Pony Express is set to roll in just over a weeks time. I hope to try and answer any questions you might have by posting the following,

WHERE : Mt Seaview Resort (also known as Jaspers Peak)
40 mins west of Wauchope,
Oxley Highway
If you have not been to Seaview before, traveling from Wauchope go through Long Flat township, then Ellenborough and continue west, you will come to a new "re-sealed" section with nice fresh armco railing waiting to catch our tar burning brothers, AS SOON AS THE NEW "HOT MIX" SECTION ENDS, TURN RIGHT. You will see signs saying, Mt Seaview, Mt Seaview Rd, Jaspers Peak Etc. You can't miss it, (although I have seen some of you get lost on 80 acres).

Ok, follow the road into the resort, over the causeway and stay to the right, Do not go to the main office at Seaview, we are trying to stay out of their way. At the the top of the hill, the road turns to dirt and you will come to a gate with sign "Seaview Homestead". I should not need to say it but, "bushies rules" apply to all gates on the property, please leave them as you find them, open or closed! Enjoy the sights as you pass the homesteads, staying on the dirt road to another gate, 600m from that gate you will find the bunk house and camping area. YOU'RE... [Read More]

Mt Seaview Pony Express
Aug 31, 2010 - 8:27 PM - by Protty223
More information to come regarding the event but for now.... if you or anyone you know needs a Day Licence for the event, that is anyone who does not hold a current MNSW Club or National Competition Licence and you/they have not contacted Kris Bignell via email, you have untill 9am this Friday morning to do so. As stated before the Day Licence books cost a considerable amount of money and have to be pre purchased from MNSW, so if you don't nominate for a licence, you might be lucky to sweep ride! If you are holding off letting us know due to cost, Day Licence is $55, event cost if $35 for a senior and Club membership for the day is $10, so your out there for less than a 100 bucks.

Contact race-secretary@hvmcc.com.au right now to get your Day Licence sorted.

From all reports from the bike shops and "old timers" around town, there are riders coming from all over the place to ride this event. So far we have less than a dozen riders asking Kris for a Day Licence, maybe everyone has a MNSW Race Licence and I am wasting my time, but somehow I doubt it. If you need one, let Kris know so at least you get to ride and your mates who miss out get left to "trailer race".

There will be Final Instructions posted for the event this Friday afternoon.

Don't miss it, only 11 more sleeps!!!!!

regards

Check out the following info on Open Meeting at Grafton
regards
Protty

Please find attached our Supplementary Regulations and Entry Forms for our Open Meeting - North Coast Open Motocross - to be held on 18/19 September 2010 at Gnudwoc Park Raceway MVRG, Grafton. Could you please help promote our event by mentioning it on your website. This would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a great opportunity to ride at an Open Event at a local track. It has been over 20 years since Grafton has held an Open meeting, so it would be great to see you all there for this great event. Remember riders will need a Junior NATIONAL (& logbook) or Senior NATIONAL Licence to compete at this event.

It is also a good opportunity for Juniors to gain eligibility for State Championships and for Seniors to gain points for grading.

Last Open event before the Australian Junior Motocross Titles.

This is a pre enter meeting and entries Close Friday 10 September 2010. Any further info contact Race Secretary - Narelle Rankin 66425977 or 0416164259.

We are excited about this event, so please help us make it worthwhile.

Mt Seaview Pony Express
Aug 21, 2010 - 7:21 PM - by Protty223
It's been talked about for months now and the good news is that it's on...

HVMCC will hold the Mt Seaview Pony Express, 11/12 September, 2010.

Ralph Clissold has kindly opened the gates to his 7000 acres at Mt Seaview for the event. A few members have been busy in recent weeks (along with Ralph and his tractor) setting the course, let me just say that if you don't ride the event.. your nuts. The weekend I was up there Ralph slashed 7km's of grass track and more work has gone on since then.

So the event... The format is a 4 Hour Pony Express, so for seniors that means you ride in a two man team or you leave your brain in the toolbox and ride Ironman. The juniors will ride as individuals for between 1-1.5hours on a shortened course, just like a Pony that we would hold at the Club track.

IT IS A TWO DAY EVENT. The reason we say this is because we have decided to run the sighting laps on Saturday. Sign on will start at mid day on the Saturday and everyone will be given the chance to ride their sighting lap in the afternoon, if time permits we will allow everyone to ride two laps during the "sighting"... can I remind everyone at this point that you can not win a trophy on the sighting lap..... should I say more?

So if you choose to not come up on the Saturday, you will not get a sighting lap on Sunday, thats because the event starts on Saturday!! So for those that want to whinge, save your... [Read More]

Stinking computers, if Suzuki made computers it would be a whole lot easier right?.. Attached are the teams points from last weekend as I was unable to upload both at once.

Thank you to everyone that made last weekend the success that it was. To everyone that contributed we offer a collective thank you. Numbers are still being crunched but have been able to raise a considerable amount to help assist Scott in his recovery.

Attached are the score sheets from the weekend.

Don't forget Club Day MX this Sunday and the working bee the day before from 8am. The track needs work to get it in shape and a general clean up is required.

See you on the weekend
